02About the Role
India's sacred geography is intensely cinematic—the morning aarti on the Ganga, the resonant Vedic chanting echoing off thousand-year-old stone pillars, the vibrant colors of temple chariot festivals. As a Field Videographer for SattvaLok, you will capture these sublime visual moments in pristine 4K. Working closely with our directors, you will shoot cinematic B-roll, drone landscapes, and interviews that form the bedrock of our global video documentaries.
03Responsibilities & What You'll Do
- →Shoot high-resolution 4K footage (Log/ProRes) of temple architecture, rituals, and landscapes across India.
- →Capture smooth, stabilized camera movements using gimbals, sliders, and tripods.
- →Record clean ambient audio (natural temple bells, chanting, crowd ambiance) using professional directional microphones.
- →Conduct professional video interviews with temple priests, scholars, and community elders.
- →Organize, back up, and catalog raw video files on location with meticulous metadata.
- →Collaborate with remote video editors and directors during pre-production and field execution.
04Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
- ✓2+ years of professional documentary or travel videography experience (showreel required).
- ✓Ownership of professional 4K camera gear (Sony FX3/A7SIII, Canon C70/R5, Panasonic S5II, or cinema equivalent).
- ✓Experience with gimbal stabilization (DJI Ronin or equivalent) and field audio capture.
- ✓Deep cultural reverence and respectful conduct within sacred temple precincts.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- ★Licensed drone operator (DGCA certified) with experience in landscape aerial cinematography.
- ★Knowledge of lighting for on-location documentary interviews.
- ★Familiarity with sacred pilgrimage routes and regional festivals.
