02About the Role
Editing is the art where raw footage transforms into emotional magic. At SattvaLok, our visual content spans quiet, meditative temple walks to high-energy educational explainers. As our Video Editor, you will assemble raw multi-camera footage, B-roll, voiceover tracks, and archival imagery into visually stunning stories. You will master pacing, multi-track audio leveling, subtle sound effects, and rich, warm color grades that reflect the visual grandeur of Indian sacred landscapes.
03Responsibilities & What You'll Do
- →Assemble, trim, and polish raw video footage into cohesive long-form documentaries and punchy short-form reels.
- →Execute professional multi-track sound design (incorporating traditional instrumentation, bells, flute, and ambient nature audio).
- →Apply cinematic color grading (DaVinci Resolve / Lumetri) optimizing skin tones and temple architectural textures.
- →Integrate motion graphics, lower thirds, chapter markers, and transliterated Sanskrit subtitles.
- →Ensure fast rendering, precise compression, and platform-specific formatting (16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for Reels).
- →Maintain efficient media organization and version control.
04Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
- ✓2+ years of professional video editing experience with a showreel demonstrating diverse pacing and visual polish.
- ✓Mastery of Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
- ✓Strong understanding of sound design, audio mixing, and Foley integration.
- ✓Sensitivity to emotional mood, visual rhythm, and respectful cultural representation.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- ★Proficiency in After Effects for motion graphics and title design.
- ★Experience with color grading RAW/Log footage (S-Log, C-Log, BRAW).
- ★Personal appreciation for Indian heritage, art, and classical music.
