02About the Role
Photography has the power to convey the spiritual aura of a sacred space across thousands of miles. As a Heritage Photographer for SattvaLok, you will travel to ancient temple towns, remote hill shrines, river ghats, and festive melas across India. You will capture high-resolution architectural details, intricate stone sculptures, dawn rituals, and the sacred devotion of pilgrims, creating an archival visual record of India's living cultural heritage.
03Responsibilities & What You'll Do
- →Photograph ancient and heritage temples, capturing wide architectural vistas, gopuram elevations, and stone relief carvings.
- →Document sacred festivals, temple processions (Rathotsavas), and devotional rituals with profound sensitivity and respect.
- →Conduct professional photo shoots of Vedic rituals, purohits, and sacred items for platform features.
- →Deliver professionally color-corrected, high-resolution RAW and processed JPEG files with metadata tags.
- →Respect temple photography regulations, sanctity, and privacy of devotees during shoots.
- →Work with editorial teams on curated photo essays and exhibition showcases.
04Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
- ✓2+ years of professional photography experience with a portfolio in architectural, travel, or documentary work.
- ✓Ownership of professional full-frame camera gear, wide-angle architectural lenses, and fast prime lenses for low-light temple interiors.
- ✓Impeccable cultural sensitivity, respectful conduct, and adherence to temple sanctity.
- ✓Advanced post-processing and color grading skills (Lightroom, Capture One).
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- ★Experience photographing historic monuments and stone architecture.
- ★Familiarity with HDR capture and architectural perspective correction.
- ★Deep personal love for temple heritage and regional traditions.
