02About the Role
A great video starts with an exceptional script. At SattvaLok, our video narratives bridge historical accuracy, philosophical depth, and dramatic cinematic tension. As a Script Writer, you will craft narrative arcs for short 60-second reels as well as in-depth 15-minute YouTube video essays. You will research sacred kshetras, legendary sages, epic dialogues from the Mahabharata, and scientific dimensions of rituals, writing scripts with compelling hooks, vivid imagery, and resonant conclusions.
03Responsibilities & What You'll Do
- →Write tightly paced scripts for 60–90 second short-form videos with immediate hooks and clear narrative payoffs.
- →Author narrative treatments and full scripts for long-form (10–20 minute) documentary video essays.
- →Incorporate audio cues, B-roll suggestions, and visual stage directions within scripts for editors and voice artists.
- →Fact-check all narrative claims against classical texts in consultation with our research team.
- →Adapt complex Sanskrit philosophical concepts into compelling, conversational spoken dialogue.
- →Maintain consistent emotional tone: respectful, awe-inspiring, and intellectually stimulating.
04Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
- ✓2+ years of experience writing scripts for digital video platforms, podcasts, or documentaries (portfolio required).
- ✓Mastery of spoken storytelling cadence, hook architecture, and retention retention pacing.
- ✓Flawless English and/or Hindi writing capabilities.
- ✓Genuine appreciation for Indian history, scriptures, and sacred traditions.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- ★Experience scripting for high-growth educational YouTube channels.
- ★Familiarity with three-act structures, hero's journey, and documentary filmmaking conventions.
- ★Reading familiarity with Sanskrit or regional literature.
