02About the Role
Thoughtful long-form audio allows for the exploration of nuances that short videos cannot capture. As a Podcast Contributor at SattvaLok, you will curate and host intellectual conversations with scholars, yogic practitioners, temple historians, authors, and philosophers. You will create audio journeys that delve into the profound questions of life: consciousness, karma, dharma in modern society, and the living wisdom of India's traditions.
03Responsibilities & What You'll Do
- →Research, outline, and host 45 to 75-minute in-depth podcast interviews with invited scholars and experts.
- →Develop intellectually challenging, respectful interview questions that draw out unique insights.
- →Conduct pre-interview briefing calls with guests to align on discussion themes.
- →Collaborate with audio editors to clean dialogue, insert music stings, and create episode highlights.
- →Draft engaging episode descriptions, show notes, and book recommendation lists.
- →Participate in live audio forums (X Spaces, community Q&A sessions).
04Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
- ✓2+ years of experience hosting, producing, or contributing to podcasts or broadcast talk shows.
- ✓Inquisitive, empathetic, and disciplined interviewing style: allowing guests to speak without constant interruption.
- ✓Solid grounding in Indian philosophy, history, and cultural debates.
- ✓Professional audio recording setup for remote podcasting (quality microphone, headphones, quiet acoustics).
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- ★Existing network of contacts among academic scholars, authors, and spiritual teachers.
- ★Experience with recording platforms (Riverside.fm, Descript, Zencastr).
- ★Bilingual conversational fluency in English and Hindi.
