As a Vedic Astronomy Researcher at SattvaLok, you will document this glorious scientific legacy, author rigorous monographs, and reconstruct computational models for modern readers and researchers.
03Responsibilities & What You'll Do
- →Research primary Sanskrit astronomical texts including Aryabhatiya, Surya Siddhanta, Siddhanta Shiromani, and Tantrasangraha.
- →Analyze historical eclipse records, equinoctial observations, and planetary conjunctions documented in ancient inscriptions and texts.
- →Map out the conceptual evolution of Indian trigonometry, series expansions (Madhava), and spherical mathematics.
- →Contribute to SattvaLok's historical timeline and educational modules on Indian scientific heritage.
- →Collaborate with computational researchers to simulate ancient planetary models using modern astronomical software.
- →Present research findings in clear, beautifully illustrated articles and interactive digital models.
04Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
- ✓Master's or doctoral degree in History of Science, Astronomy, Mathematics, Sanskrit, or equivalent demonstrated scholarship.
- ✓Proficiency reading mathematical Sanskrit texts and classical astronomical notation.
- ✓Sound understanding of modern spherical astronomy and orbital mechanics.
