02About the Role
Designing for SattvaLok is an extraordinary creative endeavor. It requires marrying the sublime geometry, iconography, and spiritual warmth of traditional Indian art with modern, high-functioning digital product design. As our UI/UX Designer, you will craft the visual language of our web and mobile applications. You will create responsive layouts, typography scales, iconography, interactive astronomical charts, and contemplative reading modes that evoke clarity, reverence, and effortless usability.
03Responsibilities & What You'll Do
- →Establish and evolve SattvaLok's comprehensive design system, UI component libraries, and visual design tokens.
- →Design intuitive user journeys, wireframes, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes in Figma.
- →Develop distinctive visual treatments for Vedic charts, festival calendars, bilingual scripture readers, and AI discovery interfaces.
- →Infuse Indic aesthetic principles (sacred geometry, harmonic color palettes, balanced whitespace) into modern, clutter-free interfaces.
- →Conduct user research, usability testing, and accessibility audits (WCAG 2.1 compliance) for diverse demographic groups.
- →Collaborate seamlessly with frontend engineers to ensure design precision, micro-animation fidelity, and responsive elegance.
- →Create asset guidelines, iconography sets, and digital brand collateral.
04Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
- ✓2+ years of demonstrable experience in digital product design, UI/UX, and web interface design (portfolio required).
- ✓Mastery of Figma, component variants, auto-layout, interactive prototyping, and design tokens.
- ✓Exceptional typography sensibility, with experience balancing complex Indic scripts (Devanagari) with Latin typography.
- ✓Deep understanding of responsive grid systems, information hierarchy, and user-centered design methodologies.
- ✓Strong aesthetic judgment: an innate ability to make interfaces feel premium, serene, and modern.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- ★Familiarity with traditional Indian art forms, Vastu/temple architecture proportions, or sacred geometric motifs.
- ★Experience creating motion designs and micro-animations (Lottie, Rive, or CSS transitions).
- ★Basic understanding of HTML/CSS capabilities and developer handoff workflows.
