02About the Role
India's historic temples are not just archaeological monuments; they are vibrant centers of spiritual gravity, cultural preservation, and social charity. However, many temple trusts face severe operational challenges: chaotic crowd management, opaque donation accounting, inadequate prasadam distribution logistics, and poor digital infrastructure for remote devotees. As a Temple Operations Consultant at SattvaLok, you will work with temple trustees, archakas, and local administrators to introduce respectful, modern operational frameworks that preserve sacred sanctity while delivering smooth, transparent devotee experiences.
03Responsibilities & What You'll Do
- →Conduct operational assessments of temple visitor flows, darshan queue architectures, and accessibility accommodations.
- →Design standard operating procedures (SOPs) for clean Prasadam kitchens (Annadanam), puja scheduling, and inventory management.
- →Advise temple trusts on implementing digital seva bookings, automated token systems, and transparent financial reporting.
- →Develop guidelines for heritage conservation, hygiene protocols, and eco-friendly temple practices (zero plastic, organic flower recycling).
- →Serve as an expert liaison between temple administrative boards and SattvaLok's technology engineering teams.
- →Conduct training workshops for temple volunteer staff on pilgrim hospitality and safety protocols.
04Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
- ✓4+ years of experience in temple trust administration, heritage site management, hospitality operations, or large-scale event logistics.
- ✓Deep reverence for traditional temple protocols, Agamic sanctity, and temple trust dynamics.
- ✓Exceptional stakeholder management and diplomacy when interacting with diverse management committees and priests.
- ✓Working knowledge of temple trust legal frameworks and administrative norms in India.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- ★Experience advising state devaswoms, HR&CE boards, or independent private temple trusts.
- ★Degree in Public Administration, Facility Management, or Heritage Studies.
- ★Bilingual fluency in English, Hindi, and an Indian regional language.
